for anyone interested in Appalachian History, Dave Tabler has a great blog for your perusal. A lot of the entries are more specifically post-1900, but there's some really interesting stuff from the 19th century as well. Of particular interest are posts about the Cherokee nation and folk culture.

The tagging for this blog isn't particularly helpful (being too specific), but you can browse the long long list of topics on the left-hand side.

If you know of a great blog with ties to the 19th century (whether research, images, or otherwise), feel free to share it ~ and use the tag "blogs".
